Saltwater – The saltwater scene is exploding with many choices of species to target. The newest member to arrive at the party is the Cobia. Many are being caught along the oceanfront, but inside the bay is also producing nice catches. Saltwater – The Red Drum bite is red hot right now! Anglers are having excellent luck around the CBBT, Nautilus shoals, and the Nine-foot shoals. Folk are catching their fair share of Black Drum also. Croaker catches continue to rise in many places inside the bay. The York River is a popular place this time of year, and is producing well. Saltwater – The Croaker bite is good and increasing throughout the bay and its tributaries. The York River has been giving up good numbers lately. Squid and bloodworms have been best. The Red and Black Drum action has been outstanding. Some have been caught at the CBBT already. Some impressive catches of Rockfish have been made this week, but locations are not being given up by fortunate anglers. Saltwater – Impressive catches of Black Drum are occurring along the shoals of the Eastern Shore. Nautilus Shoal is a particular favorite. Folks are enjoying a strong Red Drum bite. Clam is good for the blacks, and crab is usually best for the Reds. Trophy Rockfish season is upon us, so anglers can keep Rockfish with a minimum size of 36inches.
