Saltwater- The saltwater action is heating up nicely, as more species are being caught more frequently.  Speckled Trout anglers are seeing a noticable increase in catches. Some of the areas that have reported are Rudee Inlet, Mobjack Bay, Lynnhaven Inlet, and areas around the mouth of the Rappahannock. Puppy Drum are also being encountered in the same areas, on the same lures. Croaker catches are on the rise, but action is still a bit slow. Saltwater- Reports of Red and Black Drum are starting to filter in from the seaside of the Eastern Shore. Good catches of both are also being caught from Hatteras Island, along with big Bluefish. Good Drum catches are also coming from the beaches in Hatteras and Nags Head. Sea Mullet and Blow Toads are being reeled in as well. Saltwater- Windy conditions have been prevalent lately, holding many anglers back from venturing out. The days that have been fishable, anglers have been rewarded with sizable Bluefin Tuna. Yellowfin are a possibility, and jigging for Blackfin Tuna has been good out of Hatteras. Tautog continue to bite willingly, but again, conditions have not been favorable for numerous reports. Saltwater- Even with the warm weather, reports aren’t that numerous. The good news is that the Tautog continue to bite very well. Ocean wrecks have been the most popular,but there have been reports of Togs being caught from the CBBT. There’s  even been mention of fiddler crabs for sale, warm weather is indeed upon us!
