CHESAPEAKE BAY – The bay Flounder action is beginning to heat up finally. Good reports are increasing daily. Most reports are coming from the 4th island area of the CBBT. Those jigging bucktails with strip baits or Gulp! baits seem to be having the best luck. Reef areas like Back River Reef are also starting to produce. CHESAPEAKE BAY – As more species of fish are becoming more available now, which species to choose to target can be a good problem to have. The Speckled Trout action is very good inside Mobjack Bay and the Piankatank River. Some are catching their best fish on top water baits, while Gulp! baits are responsible for numbers of fish. CHESAPEAKE BAY – Folks are hammering Croaker inside the York River. Numerous reports of 60-80 fish days continue to come in from Green Top customers. Shrimp, squid, bloodworms, and Fish Bites are all taking nice fish, but lately shrimp has been better. Good reports of Croaker are also coming from inside the Rapp. Speckled Trout anglers are taking fish on top water baits, Gulp! offerings, and sea shads with consistent results. CHESAPEAKE BAY – Folks continue to enjoy a strong Croaker bite throughout the bay. The York River may be receiving the most pressure, but it is still very reliable. The Rappahannock is a good option also, as more reports of Spot are coming from the Rapp. Lower bay piers like Buckroe and Ocean View have also been good for Croaker and Spot.
