CHESAPEAKE BAY – Folks are hammering Croaker inside the York River. Numerous reports of 60-80 fish days continue to come in from Green Top customers. Shrimp, squid, bloodworms, and Fish Bites are all taking nice fish, but lately shrimp has been better. Good reports of Croaker are also coming from inside the Rapp. Speckled Trout anglers are taking fish on top water baits, Gulp! offerings, and sea shads with consistent results. CHESAPEAKE BAY – Folks continue to enjoy a strong Croaker bite throughout the bay. The York River may be receiving the most pressure, but it is still very reliable. The Rappahannock is a good option also, as more reports of Spot are coming from the Rapp. Lower bay piers like Buckroe and Ocean View have also been good for Croaker and Spot. CHESAPEAKE BAY – Croaker continue to be numerous throughout the bay. We receive reports daily from customers fishing the York, Rapp, James, and lower bay piers. This bite is in full swing and the warm weather has brought anglers out in big numbers. Shrimp, squid, bloodworms, and artificial bloodworms are responsible for full coolers. The warm temps have also increased the Flounder action at places like the bridge tunnel, Back River Reef, and areas near Gwynn’s Island. CHESAPEAKE BAY – Croaker are being caught all over the bay, but better catches are coming from inside the rivers like the York, James, Piankatank, and Rappahannock. We are receiving more reports from the York, just below West Point; but this is one of the more popular areas. Bloodworms, squid, and shrimp, as well as Fishbites, will do the job.
